Our challenge here was to turn this exposed balcony into a more intimate space using this young professional couple’s favourite colours: blue and green. We opted to include architectural plants with blue-green foliage and furnishings with complementary colours. The overall look and feel is a little ‘Mexican-Mediterranean’. Hence the guest appearance of Frida Kahlo in our render. The result: A low-maintenance garden that also doubles as a quiet reading nook.
